The 90-year old former headquarters of Nintendo will be converted into a boutique hotel. The conversion project will see the historic building refurbished into a 20-room hotel with a restaurant, and guest gym and baths.

Kyoto hotel sells for US$42 million
Ichigo Hotel REIT has sold Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto to an undisclosed domestic buyer for 4.5 billion Yen (approx. 42 million USD). The 6-story, 84-room hotel has a total floor area of 3,867 sqm and was built in 2008.
Kyoto aiming to become a start-up city
Kyoto has set its sights on being selected by the national government as a Start-Up City, according to a joint announcement made by the Kyoto Prefectural Governor and Kyoto City Mayor on August 28. The goal of this program is to create Japan’s own Silicon Valley.
