The exterior and rooftop design for the newest retail complex at the crossing above Meiji-Jingumae Station in Harajuku has been released.
Japan’s biggest building-to-be just got a little bigger
The trillion-Yen Tokiwabashi Project, under development by Mitsubishi Estate near Tokyo Station, has had an exterior redesign and a few floors added. With an expected height of 390 meters, this will be Japan’s tallest building when completed in 2027.
Details released on luxury apartment project for Azabu Juban
More details have been announced for the redevelopment of a historic art deco building near Azabu Juban in Tokyo. Real estate giants Mitsui Fudosan and Mitsubishi Estate will be turning the site into over 1,000 luxury apartments.

260m tall twin-tower project for Shinjuku Station
Two 260-meter tall high-rise towers are rumored for Shinjuku Station. If completed, they would exceed the height of the nearby 243-meter Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
Tokyo approves Kachidoki-Toyomicho high-rise redevelopment committee
On June 30, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government approved the formation of the Toyomi District Town Redevelopment Committee. This committee has been established to create two 189-meter tall apartment towers in the Kachidoki and Toyomicho district on Tokyo Bay.
Sales in luxury Kamakura condo to start in August
Sales in a high-end condominium in the heart of historic Kamakura City are scheduled to start in late August. The Parkhouse Kamakura is a 5-story luxury condo currently under construction alongside Wakamiya-Oji Avenue which leads up to the Hachimangu Shrine. It is the first condo to have been built within a 5-minute walk of Kamakura Station in the past ten years. This is also the first condominium developed by Mitsubishi to feature their full, underfloor central-air system.
