Tokyo Tatemono is planning a 35-story, 180-meter-tall high-rise for Kyobashi. Construction will start in 2025 with completion tentatively scheduled for 2029. A city planning decision was granted on January 13.

The project will utilize a floor-area ratio of 1,990% for the 6,820 sqm site. The new building will contain office, hotel, and retail, and a direct connection to the planned Tokyo Sky Corridor promenade.

The Tokyo Expressway (KK Expressway) runs along the western side of the site. This elevated highway is eventually going to be closed to traffic and converted into a pedestrian promenade and greenway, similar to New York’s High Line park. The government is aiming to have this parkway completed sometime in the 2030s.
