Skyz Tower & Garden to begin sales in July

Sales of apartments in Skyz Tower & Garden in Toyosu are scheduled to begin in July. This is part of the ‘Tokyo Wonderful Project’ redevelopment of a 32,000 sqm site that was once a Tepco-owned thermal power station.

The 150m tall condominium will contain 1,110 apartments ranging in size from 53.25 to 130.92 sqm (573 ~ 1408 sqft) and priced from 35 to 139 million Yen. A 74.50 sqm 3-bedroom apartment will be priced around 55 million Yen (738,000 Yen/sqm), and some apartments will be priced over 100 million Yen. Over 10,000 inquiries have been made prior to the opening of the showroom this coming weekend.

A look at the demolition of the Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka

The demolition of the 140m tall Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka is underway with the building now standing at three-quarters of its original height. 

The work is being carried out by a joint venture between Taisei Corporation and Seibu Construction using the ‘Taisei Ecological Reproduction System’ (Teco-Rep System).  Assistant Director of Taisei’s Construction Engineering Development Department, Mr. Hideki Ichihara, explains the process:

Nishiazabu condominium to offer Mercedes Benz car sharing

On September 4, Mitsubishi Jisho Residence launched the sales gallery for The Parkhouse Nishiazabu Residence condominium. The developer is promoting, in collaboration with Mercedes Benz, a new service for residents of the building called “Premium Owner’s Support.” This includes car sharing and chauffeur services and is said to be a first in the industry.

A first for Kansai: Historic bldg facade preserved in redevelopment

Orix Real Estate announced that they will be preserving the facade of a Taisho-era building and will incorporate it into the new condominium being built on the site. The design of the upper floors will also be in keeping with the original building facade. This is the first example of a condominium in the entire Kansai area that preserved the facade of the former building.

Apartment sales in ‘Gran Sanctus Yodoyabashi’ began on July 3rd, with 45 of the 60 units being offered in the first release. Apartments range in size from 56.09 ~ 78.83 sqm (603 ~ 848 sqft) and are priced from 37.6 ~ 56.5 million Yen. The average price per square meter is 693,000 Yen.

RYU:X TOWER – Okinawa’s latest high-rise apartments

Three of Japan’s major developers, Daiwa, Orix and Daikyo, have announced the details of their latest high-rise condominium project in Naha City, Okinawa. Called “RYU:X TOWER”, the two 30 storey buildings will have 676 apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms, and priced from 28 to 69.2 million Yen.

The developers were selected by the city in 2006 to redevelop the site. The first stage of the redevelopment including building offices and hotel facilities. The second stage includes the two residential towers.

Apartments range from 26.35 sqm (283 sqft) studios to the 66.18 sqm (712 sqft) 2-bedroom apartments.There are 40 studios and only 4 2-bedroom units.

Located in Higashi Azabu 2 Chome, the apartments are just 2 minutes walk from Azabu Juban Station and the well-appointed Azabu Juban restaurant and cafe-filled streets.
