Apartment prices in Tokyo climbed for the 34th month in a row last month, reaching 908,300 Yen/sqm in the 23 wards. This is a 9.3% increase from last year. A total of 1,691 second-hand apartments were reported to have sold, up 4.5% from last year.

Inventory rose by 16.6% in the 23 wards, while Saitama Prefecture saw a 32.6% increase. Chiba and Kanagawa prefectures saw 20%+ increases. 

In central Tokyo’s three wards of Chiyoda, Chuo, and Minato, the average sale price was 1,446,400 Yen/sqm, up 1.1% from last year. A total of 219 apartments were reported to have sold, up 29.6% from last year. 

Remaining inventory was at 15.15 months.
