Major developer Mori Building has formed a partnership with Aman Resorts to create Aman-branded apartments on the upper floors of the Toranomon-Azabudai project currently under construction in central Tokyo.
The 330-meter tall skyscraper will have the Aman Residences, Tokyo on floors 54 to 64. The 91 luxuriously-appointed apartments will have interiors designed by Yabu Pushelberg, and will have access to their own 1,400 sqm (15,000 sq.ft) Aman Spa. Although there are no confirmed reports on pricing (and projects like this tend to remain entirely off-market), industry experts suggest that individual apartments would likely sell for several billion Yen each (US$10s of millions).
Floors 1 to 13 of the low-rise B-2 building will house the 120-room Janu Tokyo, the sister-brand hotel of Aman. This will be the first Janu-branded hotel in Japan. Janu will have its own 3,500 sqm (37,660 sq.ft) spa, along with six restaurants, cafes and bars.
The Toranomon-Azabudai redevelopment project covers a sprawling 8.3 hectare site near Tokyo Tower. It includes the 330m skyscraper, along with two 270m and 240m tall towers. In total, 1,300 apartments are planned for the site. The 330m skyscraper will be Japan’s tallest building when complete, just 2 meters shorter than nearly Tokyo Tower. It will be eclipsed by the 390m tall Torch Tower near Tokyo Station that is due for completion in 2027.
