A large-scale condominium and resort-style project is planned for the winter ski town of Niseko. Construction is scheduled to start next year, with completion expected in winter 2023.
Feather Resort Niseko will include over 100 condominium units and five rental chalets. The 4.2-hectare development site is 1.2 kilometers south-west of the Niseko Village Ski Resort in the Soga district. There will be an 11-story condo-hotel with a total building area of around 20,000 sqm, along with five 3-story detached villas. The hotel-condo units will be sold off individually with buyers having the option of putting them in the hotel pool when they are not in use. The hotel operator has yet to be announced but could be a luxury brand from Hong Kong.
The project is led by a locally-registered company and funded by Chinese investors. Insiders estimate the project to cost somewhere over 10 billion Yen (approx. 95 million USD).
