Villa Bianca
Average Price: 900,000 Yen/sqm
Location: Jingumae, Shibuya-ku
ABOUT |
Opened in the same year as the Tokyo Olympics and featured in Time Magazine, this is the first of the Villa Series of apartments. The building is alongside Meiji Dori which leads to Harajuku and Shibuya. The first floor has retail space for restaurants. Of the 45 units, 10 were kept by the developer as rental units. There is a mixture of both office and residential occupants.
With the average unit being 80 sqm and having large living rooms and balconies, this building was considered very luxurious for its time.
Villa Bianca is apparently over the current legal capacity limit, so if it was to be rebuilt it cannot be built to the same total size. In 2013, there were discussions about re-building.
