Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development is starting work on a luxury rental apartment building development in Daikanyama, Tokyo.

The project site was previously owned by the Brunei Investment Agency. Prior to that it had been acquired by a prince, who had started construction of a palatial residence. For various reasons, the construction was halted halfway through, with the land sitting idle for over two decades. Ownership of the land was transferred in August 2020 to a company registered in the Cayman Islands.

The 5,959 sqm site is a 5-minute walk from Daikanyama Station and a 6-minute walk uphill from Nakameguro Station. The project will include just 19 spacious and luxuriously appointed apartments over 4 floors, with a total building size of 4,977 sqm (53,552 sq.ft). Residents will have access to concierge service and their own gym.

Design and construction will be carried out by Taisei Corporation. Completion is scheduled for January 2023.
