 ABOUT

Kachidoki the Tower is located on the man-made island of Kachidoki, and is just 2.2 km from Ginza.

Sales were scheduled to begin in March 2014 but were pushed back until May. Between September 2013 and March 2014, the sales office received over 8,000 requests for brochures and had over 1,200 groups attend early information sessions from January.

In the first round of sales 621 applications were made on the 500 apartments released for sale. The most popular apartment received over 9 purchase applications. A 220 million Yen penthouse also sold. By May 2015, 1,230 apartments (93% of the apartments to be sold) had received purchase applications. All apartments had initially sold out prior to completion, but there were several cancellations, resulting in the developer re-listing apartments for sale after completion. Some of the cancelled units were offered by the developer at a 15% mark-up from their original off-the-plan price.

This development was formerly known as the Kachidoki 5 Chome Redevelopment Project.

The building was completed December 2016, and apartments were ready to move into from March 2017.

In addition to the 179m tall ‘tri-star’ shaped tower, there will also be two low-rise buildings. Lower floors will contain local government facilities and retail.

The 53-storey residential tower will contain 1,420 apartments, making it the second largest apartment building in Japan (based on the total number of apartments in one building). The largest building in Japan is the Tokyo Towers Mid Tower which contains 1,461 apartments. The Tokyo Towers complex is also the largest in Japan with a total of 2,794 apartments. It also happens to be located across the street from Kachidoki The Tower.
