Nihon Shokken Holdings, the largest sauce manufacturer and distributor in Japan, opened a palatial factory in Ehime Prefecture last month.
Schonbrunn Palace Factory was built at a cost of 25 billion Yen (approx. 228 million USD). It is, of course, designed after its namesake in Vienna. It is located within Imabari City’s Creative Hills industrial park and has a total building size of 42,050 sqm (452,000 sq.ft).
This isn’t the first palace-inspired factory. The same company built the Nihon Shokken KO Palace Factory in Imabari in 2006. The building was inspired by Belvedere Palace in Vienna.
