Sales in a new condo in Tokyo’s Tsukiji district started on March 7. Atlas Tsukiji is an 11-story apartment building located just behind the Tsukiji Hongwanji temple and a 3-minute walk from Tsukiji Station.
This is the only condominium with over 100 units to be released for sale in the Tsukiji address since 2009. The site was originally home to many wooden, densely packed row houses. 36 of the original landholders will receive apartments in the new development.
The building will contain 161 apartments. In the first round of sales, 50 two and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 54.59 ~ 88.61 sqm (587 ~ 953 sq.ft) were made available. Prices ranged from 69.9 ~ 147.7 million Yen (approx. US$650,000 ~ 1,370,000). The average price was approximately 1,575,000 Yen per square meter (approx. US$1,355/sqft).
Of the 587 groups that have visited the sales office to date, 21% of them already reside in the Tsukiji address, while a third are residents of Chuo ward. A total of 1,685 requests for sales brochures have been made since the sales website opened in July 2019.
The facade was designed by Atsushi Imai of Archi Site Mobius. The lobby will feature glass art by Mari Noguchi, and wall art by Nikko. Residents will be able to enjoy a rooftop deck and lounge with views of the skyline.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in late October 2021, with apartments delivered to buyers from late November 2021 onwards.
Those who have visited Hubei or Zhejiang provinces in mainland China or Daegu City and Cheongdo County in South Korea in the past 14 days, or are showing signs of a fever or cold, are asked by the developer to refrain from attending the showroom.
