On February 15 the Tokyo Metropolitan Government approved construction plans for the Jingumae 6 Chome district redevelopment. The site is located in a prime retail position at the corner of Omotesando Avenue and Meiji Dori Street and above the Meiji-jingumae subway station.

The new building will be a 49.5 meter tall, 10-storey commercial complex with a total floor area of 22,000 sqm (237,000 sq.ft). It will be almost 5 meters taller than Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku, located across the street, and will have double the floor space. Construction is scheduled to start in 2020 with completion by 2022. The total project cost is estimated at 18 billion Yen (approx. 160 million USD).

A redevelopment committee was established in 2015. Landholders of the 3,000 sqm site include Tokyu Land, Colombin Co., Tokyo Metro, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Tokyu Land paid between 11 and 12 billion Yen for the Coop Olympia Annex building and land in 2013.
