Over 60% of the apartments in Yokohama’s tallest condominium will go on sale this weekend, in what will be the highest number of apartments to have ever been released for sale in a building in the city. The Tower Yokohama Kitanaka is a 58-storey, 200m tall apartment building located in front of Bashamichi Station and close to Yokohama’s waterfront district.

A total of 730 apartments will be available for purchase in the first round of sales starting from November 25.  With a total of 1,176 apartments in the building, this building is the largest based on apartment count to have been developed in the city since 1993.

The mixed-use building will contain retail on the first three floors, and 175 Oakwood Serviced Apartments on floors 46 ~ 51. Resident facilities will include lounges, gym, guest suites, and a rooftop terrace.

The one, two and three bedroom apartments range in size from 44 ~ 212 sqm (473 ~ 2,281 sq ft). Apartments will be priced from 45 ~ 800 million Yen (400,000 ~ 7.1 million USD), with an average price of around 1,200,000 Yen/sqm (995 USD/ sq ft). The 800 million Yen, 212 sqm apartment is the most expensive apartment to go on sale in Kanagawa Prefecture to date.

Advertising began back in late 2016, and since then the sales office has received 14,200 inquiries and over 3,600 visits to the show room. 54% of the show room bookings have been made by Yokohama residents. 80% of the interested buyers are aged in their 30’s ~ 50’s.

The building is due to be completed by late February 2020.
