Hankyu Motoazabu Project 1
Motoazabu 3 Chome Project

Hankyu Realty, an Osaka-based real estate developer, is developing two high-end projects located in Tokyo’s prime residential neighbourhoods of Aoyama and Azabu.

Motoazabu 3 Chome Project:

A 5-storey apartment building containing 19 units, and walking distance from Roppongi Station. The 1,000 sqm site, which has been a car park for several years, was listed for sale back in 2010 for 1.18 billion Yen. It is just 400 meters from Roppongi Hills and across the street from the San Marino Embassy. The prime location will not go to waste, as this project will be branded as Hankyu’s very first ‘Geo Grande’ series of luxury condominiums and will be the highest grade residences offered by the developer. Design supervision will be undertaken by Kengo Kuma and Associates – the firm that designed the new Olympic stadium for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The building is scheduled for completion in March 2017.

Minato-ku Minami Aoyama Project:

A 25-unit condominium to be constructed in the fashionable and highly desirable Omotesando neighbourhood, and a 8 minute walk from Omotesando Station.  Hankyu have had plans for this site since at least early 2013.

Design and planning will be carried out by Nikken Housing System. Nikken have designed several high-end residential projects in Tokyo including Roppongi Hills Residences, Bliss Beige Jingumae, Akasaka Tower Residence, The Park Residences at the Ritz Carlton, and La Tour Daikanyama.

To date, Hankyu has developed 49 condominiums in the greater Tokyo area. In recent years, their annual sales of new condominiums have hovered at around 300 ~ 400 units, but this number is expected to climb to 800 units in 2016 due to the release of several new projects.
