On June 17, Tokyu Corporation and JR announced that internationally renowned architectural firm Kengo Kuma and Associates will be designing part of the new Shibuya Station area redevelopment.

The redevelopment will include three buildings – Eastern Tower (46 floors), Central Tower (10 floors) and the Western Tower (13 floors). Kengo Kuma and Associates will be designing the lower floors. Pritzker award winning firm SANAA will be designing an outdoor space on the 4th floor.

Work is set to begin by the end of this year and the entire project is scheduled to be complete by 2027.
