Roppongi Grand Tower Residence is part of Sumitomo’s mixed-use Roppongi Grand Tower project in central Tokyo. This was a large-scale redevelopment of the former IBM Headquarters and includes a 40-story office tower, a 27-story apartment building, and low-rise retail/commercial space. The residence was completed in March 2016, while the office tower was ready for tenants from late 2016.
It is located across the street from Izumi Garden Tower and 650 meters from Tokyo Midtown.
The 27-story apartment tower has 226 apartments and was built using the base-isolation (menshin-kozo) method of earthquake-resistant construction. This is the most expensive option and reduces the level of swaying during an earthquake.
This is a 1-Bedroom apartment on the 7th floor. It is south-east facing and includes a walk-in closet, dishwasher, and ceiling-mounted air conditioning in the living/dining. Ceiling heights are up to 2.7 meters at their highest point.
