About the architect

Works by Pritzker Price-winning architect Tadao Ando are highly regarded both in Japan and overseas. Although he has designed a number of homes in the Osaka / Kansai region, there are only a handful of his residences in the Tokyo area, making this an unusual find. When we say his homes are rare, it is not an exaggeration. Ando has only designed six detached homes and one condo building in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

Several years ago a house by Ando in the Meguro area was offered for sale and sold to a lucky buyer.
