This is a block of hillside land in Ajiro, Atami. It is east facing and has panoramic views of Sagami Bay and towards Hatsushima Island.

The land is 130 ~ 160 meters above sea level and outside of any tsunami risk zones. The neighbour on the eastern side is a buddhist temple dating from the Edo period.

Neighbours on the western side include a small number of low-rise holiday homes.

The main entrance is at the lower side of the land and includes parking space for several vehicles or a coach bus. It is 500 meters up the street from the No. 135 National Highway and 12 km (or 30 minutes by car) from Atami Station.

The land was previously owned by a developer who had plans to build a resort apartment building containing several hundred units. The developer spent several billion Yen on a storm water system including installing a storm water drain that runs underneath the buddhist temple and highway and out to the ocean below. Construction on the actual apartment building did not begin and there are no current plans attached to this land.

There is access to privately-operated hot spring water which is pumped to houses in this neighbourhood. This land has one access point. Additional access points may be obtained with approval from the supplier. For resort/ryokan usage, additional usage fees will apply.
