Sales in Ishikawa Prefecture’s most expensive condominium have gone exceedingly well with the building now over 60% sold. The Residence Kanazawa is located in front of Kanazawa Station and forms part of the Hyatt hotel development.

The sales office received a flood of inquiries from both within and outside the prefecture, even from buyers as far away as the US. Over 700 inquiries were made to the sales office with a total of 100 purchase applications made on the 70 apartments offered in the first round of sales held in October. Approximately 60% of the buyers had purchased apartments for their own personal use, with the remainder buying for either holiday homes or investment use. The majority of buyers were two-person households aged in their 50s and above. The remaining 44 apartments went on sale from November 3.

One bedroom apartments (42 sqm) were priced in the 30 million Yen range (approx. 266,000 USD), while three bedroom apartments (75 sqm) were priced at around 53 million Yen (approx. 470,000 USD). The most expensive apartment in the building was a four bedroom, 180 sqm penthouse priced at 199.8 million Yen. It was sold in the first round of sales.

Luxury touches include services provided in conjunction with Hyatt, indirect lighting and ceiling heights that are approximately 30 cm higher than what is found in ordinary apartments. The 114 apartments are located on floors 8 ~ 15, with the 90-room Hyatt House Kanazawa hotel located on the lower floors. The development also includes the adjacent 14-storey, 250-room Hyatt Centric Kanazawa.

The building is due for completion by April 2020.
